Anthony V. Maddalo, M.D.
Dr. Maddalo joined Hudson Valley Bone and Joint Surgeons after completing his Orthopedic training at Lenox Hill Hospital in 1986. During his time at Lenox Hill had had the opportunity to work with athletes at all levels of play. He was involved in the care of players from the New York Cosmos Soccer Club, the New York Rangers Hockey Club and the New York Jets Football Club. During that time, he gained vast experience in the diagnosis and treatment of sports injuries.
Since 1986, Dr. Maddalo has been an attending physician at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, and has served in many capacities including Director of Surgery, Vice President of the Medical Staff and Member of the Board of Trustees. Dr. Maddalo also operates at St. John’s Riverside Hospital and several surgery centers throughout Westchester. He was the Assistant Team Physician of the New York Rangers Hockey Club from 1986 through 2014. Dr. Maddalo has been named Chief Medical Officer and team physician for Manhattan College, College of Mt. St. Vincent and College of New Rochelle.
For over three decades, Dr. Maddalo has worked with his partners to bring to Westchester new and innovative advancements in Sports Medicine such as arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and reconstruction of the Anterior Cruciate
Ligament. His endeavors have made it possible for local athletes to obtain the same level of care as the professionals they follow. In addition, Dr. Maddalo has been named “Police Surgeon” for the Westchester County Police Department and the Sleepy Hollow Police Department and is proud to treat many members of law enforcement form Westchester and surrounding areas.
